BNSF 503 |
Description: |
BNSF #503 is the second unit on the Cuba Turn, in Cuba, MO, on a rainy June morning. Havng just done some switching in the yard, in this view the locomotives and one tank car have just pulled out on to the mainline. After the switchman throws a switch behind the train, it will back down to the rest of the cars (which were left on the main), hook up, and be on its way back to Lindenwood yard in St. Louis. |

BNSF 2098 and 503 |
Description: |
BNSF GP38-2 #2098 and B40-8W #503 are the power on the Cuba Turn on a rainy June 3rd. Having just completed some switching moves in the Cuba, MO yard, the Turn is ready to roll East out of town. This train consisted of #2098 and #503, with a GATX tank car, ATSF gondola, another tank car (didn't get the markings), and an AOK centerbeam flat car making up the train. Note the burned out ditch light on #2098. |

The Cuba Turn - in its entirety |
Description: |
The Cuba Turn, in its entirety, heads East out of Cuba, MO, after having stopped for some switching in town. Consist was BNSF GP38-2 #2098 leading and BNSF B40-8W #503 trailing, with a GATX tank car, ATSF gondola, un-ID'd tank car, and an AOK centerbeam flat car bringing up the rear. Bad shot, but as an old RR buddy would say,"documentation!". |
